After removing the old sewer inlet, there is more work that needs to be done before installing the new concrete sewer inlet. This involves repairing the manhole by installing new bricks, adding mortar to old bricks and leveling the area to accept the new inlet. This process takes years of experience to ensure a safe and long lasting installation of your new sewer inlet. |

It is critical before installing the new inlet that all the prep work was done correctly, below. This precast concrete inlet is called a Four Grate Stone. Four 30″ x 15″ metal grates will be set on top of the angle iron, which is anchored into the concrete. Rebar is also installed into the concrete for strength and long lasting durability.

Final preparation is done around the new concrete sewer inlet, to level and check the drainage into the sewer before final installation. New concrete is installed around the inlet to connect the road or parking lot to the sewer. |

New grates are installed and in this case, we were able to reuse two ductile iron grates while installing two new ductile iron grates. Ductile iron grates are heavy duty grates used in areas for trash trucks and semi traffic.
